Pelsall Common (one of prettiest locations on the BCN) – depth is best adjacent to the “Finger Post”, though dredging in 2013 has improved the situation somewhat.

  1. Can anybody give advice as to the advisability of mooring in the little park between Coal Pool Bridge and Hildicks Bridge? Is this a safe area?

    • Sorry about the delay in replying. This isn’t on our safe moorings list, which is not a firm “no”.
Personally I would be happy stopping there, but wouldn’t leave the boat unattended.

  2. Sneyd Wharf seems to only have a water point mooring. I did stay overnight but on a residential mooring as it was late in the day. There was a work boat moored but no sign for visitors.
    Its a lovely location.

  3. There’s an offside mooring in Wednesfield, right next to the black and white footbridge, that has no pedestrian access. Mooring rings, about 100ft long.

    • Also, while it’s slightly noisier, Bentley bridge, in the arm stub, is quite secure. There are security guards on the retail park and also often police as the MacDonald’s is 24 hours. Mooring rings.
