Hi Andy,
You are so right about ‘what lies beneath’. After our last cruise on the BCN about 2 years ago moving nb Rowington to Audlem we went past the Rattlechain Brickworks basin and knew some of the history but was curious to find out more. I assume that you’ve seen the website ‘what lies beneath’.
Unfortunately I’ve not been able to find it since but is terrifying to think what could happen.
I explored the BCN canals by walking and cycling along the towpaths in the 1970s.
