The only historic arm on the Aston Flight, Birmingham & Fazeley Canal, that is still in water for most of its original length. It is the only point on the B&F that allows working boat Atlas to be winded.
- When was the last time a boat has navigated the branch?
- Does anyone know which industries it served?
- Does anyone have more photos, perhaps even taken from inside the branch?

I’ve just received a phone call from Graham Wigley who remembers a newspaper report from the 1950s. Hercules Cycles had a factory in Plume Street at the side of the Carter’s Arm then and made news by transporting their cycles by canal in a Willow Wren boat.
