Recording oral histories of people involved in canal restorations 1950 – 1990

Thursday, March 13, from 11:00 to around 15:00

The Society has been contacted by the Inheritage group, who, in working with CRT, are seeking to capture an oral history of those who were involved in canal restorations locally between 1950 and 1990.
The aim is to record this important period in the history of Britain’s canals by talking to people who worked on restoration projects.
If you were involved and are willing to take part in these recordings your contact in the first instance is Mr Bill Bevan who can be contacted by email – bill@inheritage.co.uk or by phone at 07538185960
The group’s website can be found at this link –  Inheritage
The group hopes to complete the project by the end of March 2025.

A drop-in session will be held at Dudley Canal Trust on 13 March 2025 starting at 11:00am
