In advance of our 250th anniversary cruise, BCNS and CRT are going to clear the toll island by the Engine Arm Aqueduct (on the New Main Line). Phoenix will leave the Pump House at 8.00am to descend the Titford flight and then progress to Smethwick to drop down the 3 locks and onto the New Main Line and then turn right towards the toll island. Birmingham Canal 250th anniversary

November 2019 will see the 250th anniversary of the canal reaching Birmingham. This was an important event in the making of the city as an industrial centre. To commemorate this landmark event the BCN Society is organising a cruise into Birmingham on Saturday, 2nd November, starting from Windmill End at 8am with the intention of arriving in the centre of Birmingham at midday.
